UR Worth Ministries
Nicole Smith founded UR Worth More Ministries in 2012 out of a heart for preventing teen suicide and self-harm and has been a passionate advocate ever since. Through this ministry, Nicole and her team creatively spread a message of hope and love through speaking engagements and events, and as a trained facilitator in suicide prevention/intervention skills, she equips members of the body of Christ as well as the community on how to recognize and approach those who are struggling. Nicole is a Licensed Minister with the Ministers Network of Canada and actively serves her community and volunteers in her WellSpring Community Church as well as Rose City Kids. She has been happily married for 33 years and has two adult children.
Speaker
Rick Osborne is a leading gang expert in Canada, with a life story
marked by overcoming adversity. After experiencing bullying and
victimization by heroin addicts, he spiralled into drug addiction, street
gang involvement, and crime. This led to his membership in an outlaw
motorcycle club and a 25-year prison sentence for robbery and weapons
offences. Despite these challenges, he completed an apprenticeship and
overcame his heroin addiction. He went on to earn a BA in Psychology
and an Addiction Careworker diploma. Since his release, he has
dedicated his life to mentoring youth. He runs a mentorship program
called “Ozzy’s Garage” in Port Colborne and has extended its reach as a
mobile program to other communities.
